Welcome to Kindred Spirits Ranch

Hello from…well… the middle of an exquisite, former alfalfa field! Kindred Spirits Ranch has a new, permanent home, located about 20 miles east of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our family of 12 alpacas, 3 llamas, 6 dogs (including our 2 Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs), 2 Japanese Chins, and 1 Beagles), and two cats are now snugly settled on a 10-acre ranch, nestled amongst several other small ranches that raise horses and goats.

Our little village has the look of a small, picturesque farming community from the mid-1800’s. While a modest start, following our move from Idaho to Oklahoma in August, 2005, the location is perfect. Night paddocks and temporary shelters are in place. Full fencing will soon allow the Kindred Spirits herd to graze on delicious Bermuda grass in a scenic and quiet valley, surrounded by rolling hills, a running creek, and luxurious trees. Our animals love their new home, and we enjoy the excitement of having our gang just a few steps from our back door, in full view of almost every window in the house.

Our recent life challenges are proof in point that the alpaca business can stand pat, even while other plans crumble. Hard work, coupled with the help and support of our wonderful, local alpaca community, has allowed our personal dreams to survive.
